Knowing
who we are and who we are not is critical in the operation of
separating out the “leaven” from the loaf “that you may be a new batch
without yeast-as you really are (1 Cor 5:7).” It is the knowing of the
truth about ourselves that sets us free. The Truth is already the Truth
and we are as free as our present knowledge of the Truth is developed.

God created Man in His likeness
If people are really
Godlike creatures, it does not take very long to begin to ask the
question.” What kind of ‘God’ would create creatures that are so
violent, arrogant, and self indulged as what we see in the world?”
Couple
that with the gnawing fear of failure, insecurities, and general
frailties that we all know deep with our “selves”. Deep in the places
where we perceive the “me” that we rarely reveal to anybody. This place
can be a large overwhelming part of what we call our personality, but
often it is (or at least it appears to be) a smaller more controlled
corner of darkness pressed away somewhere deep in the basement of our
memory and experience.
We usually only release the realities of
our “selves” to a few close companions and even then usually only in
packaged parts and pieces just as a precaution against total exposure.
Total exposure – that’s what we fear.
We
operate out of a “secret place” that always needs protecting, it is
always needing, clawing after, grabbing, planning, strategizing, and
executing operations in our lives to get what we think we need and keep
it. Approval, acceptance, a measure of our worth, status, food,
clothing, safety…

A "MYSTERY" is a SECRET
A Mystery is simply something - or many things - that are hidden. They are not
immediately obvious. A Mystery may be of GREAT VALUE, or it may be a
quaint curiosity, or it may be bizzarre and challenge the limits of our
belief and perceptions.
A Mystery is "Great" if it is of Great Value to many people.
The Greatest Mystery is a Secret that is of tremendous value to ALL
PEOPLE in every generation, in every culture and situation, the great
and the small, the rich and poor, the young and old, the powerful and
the weak...
Question:
What do you think is the world’s Greatest Mystery?
- It is something that you have already
discovered? ( Can it still be considered a mystery then?)
- Is it something that you know part of and would
like to know the rest?
- Is it something you are completely oblivious to?
– Kind of the ultimate Mystery – the Mystery you didn’t even know that it
exists?
Here's a clue: - It is called
the "Mystey of the Ages" It is the Secret of God hidden for centuries,
but now revealed and available to you!
He would like to tell it to You! The angels and men of
God wanted to know this "Secret", but God wouldn't tell them for
thousands of years
Then God told "The Secret" to the Church through
the Apostle Paul and other apostles and prophets.
That "Secret" was
lost and forgotten again during the dark ages, but now is being told
again in this special time to the Church.

The Pick-Up Sticks and the Praying Mantis
There is a form of insanity masquerading as a world view that proposes that ..
The
cosmos is nothing but a giant pile of "Pick-up sticks" that has fallen
into
Time and from this continual mixing and random re-throwing of elements
some how all things have evolved without and Design or Designer. There
really is no plan, no purpose - its all a pile if pick-up sticks and
some of them just fell out as Praying Manti, some as birds, some as
monitor lizards, fruitflies, etc.
We mix up some physics and some chemistry and ...

Is The Greatest Mystery found on the Mountain?
Mountains hold a tremendous fascination for all people.
We are drawn to them, their size intimidates us and challenges us at
the same time. Only a few daring ones attempt to climb them, especially
the large ones. Some of them like this one are even more dangerous
because they are active volcanos and they may erupt with hot lava or
deadly ash and gas. We never know when these things will explode, so
its safest to stay away.
Still, we are drawn.
The views and the perspective from "up there" inspire us.
People Pray on the mountains - the Himalayas are the highest mountains
in the world and they are full of monks and spiritual seekers praying
and meditating on the mysteries of life. They are seeking inner peace
and tranquiity, they are challenging the limits of ordinary living and
thinking.

They
relate to God "long distance". That is, they envision God as living way

Take a look aroung the world and

looking outside of themselves because they cannot find it inside.
Power doesn't fill it, wealth doesn't fill it, abundance, food, and pleasures do not fill it.
We were built for something
beyond the everyday but we cannot quite define what it is,and we know that we need more -
or less - or something.
Its the World's Greatest Mystery -
some people tell us that all the paths take us there, that we are all
on the same journey and we will all get there no matter what.
But the evidence does not support
that. Too many are climbing the same mountains over and over again.
Generation after generation.
And still the World's Greatest Mystery
eludes us

Why Do We Stand Up Stones? Is this a clue to the Greatest Mystery?
Edifices, Monuments, Obelisks, Pyramids, Statues, Memorials, even the
Twin Towers in New York City are physical statements and attempts at achieving
something bigger than our everyday life. In the old testament it is often recorded that people would stand up stones at the location of an historic event or battle.
Often it is said that those markers still standing there to this day.
These markers were not all just little piles of rocks here and there - they were monuments and statements to the world that would last longer than the people making them.
We are built for more than what is seen - We are built for Eternity.We are created in God's Image, in His likeness. We were not built to die, we were built to live!
It is sin that produces death, and God sent Yashua, the Messiah to "Bring life" and to restore what was lost.
But the Greatest Mystery is more than just God sending and God Forgiving as Great and truly awesome as these things are.
God does not live in the rocks, and Eternity is not found in the buildings, the pyramids, or the skyscrapers of the present century.
The buildings, stones and monuments are physical attempts of what the World's Greatest Mystery can accomplish.
